Little League Rule Book except for the following:
1. Pitcher may only pitch 85 pitches per game
o 1-20 pitches requiring 0 days of rest
o 21-40 pitches 1 day of rest
o 41-60 requiring 2 days of rest
o 61-85 requiring 3 days rest
No pitcher can pitch in consecutive games.
2. At the umpire’s discretion, a pitcher may not hit more than 2 batters in an inning or 3 batters in a game.
3. If after four (4) innings, three and one-half innings if the home team is ahead, one team has a lead of 15 runs or more,
the manager of the team with the least runs shall concede the victory to the opponent.
NOTE: if the visiting team has a lead of 15 runs or more, the home team must bat in its' half of the inning.
4. Batting is continuous. No player can sit on the bench for longer than 2 innings and MUST play 4 innings. If you are the
vistiting team, each player must play 3 innings.
5. Runners cannot leave a base until the ball crosses the plate.
6. Runners must slide to try to avoid the tag. A runner may not crash or ram into a player with the ball in an attempt to
dislodge the ball. There are no HEADFIRST slides permitted. Diving back to a base is permitted.
7. The umpire will issue ONE per-team warning regarding the throwing of the bat. After the warning has been issued,
an automatic out will result.
8. An automatic time-out will occur whenever a player is hurt during the course of a game.
The umpire will put runners on the base the umpire feels the runner would have been able to reach.
9. One adult may be allowed to coach bases in addition to a player..
10. The infield fly rule will be enforced.
11. A team may start and play a game with 8 players.
12. Coaches are responsible for players’, parents’, and fans’ behavior.
Umpires may forfeit a game due to the inappropriate behavior of players, parents or fans.
13. Coaches are not allowed to stand in the playing area.
They must stand either directly in front or to either side of the dugout area or position themselves at the bench area.
14. A pitcher may not re-enter the game as a pitcher.
15. There are no intentional walks.
16. The umpire makes final determination on ALL RULES. All protests will be decided on the field.
17. In the case of a tie after pool play, seeding will be determined by head to head record for a two-way tie, and for more
than two teams we will use tournament run differential, then fewest runs allowed among tied teams.
If still tied, most runs scored in pool play, if still tied, then a coin flip will be used.
18. There will be one extra inning played in the event of a tie. There will be no tie in the playoffs. There will be a winner.
19. All protests will be settled on the field with a tournament official.
20. Once a batter has squared up in a bunting stance, they must attempt to bunt the ball from that position or pull up if they
don't want to make contact with the ball. They may not pull back and then swing away.
If they do the batter will be declared out.
21. No throwing of the bats or helmets, warning will be issued for the first offense; second offense will be grounds for
removal from the game.
22. All teams will be required to have bases and to keep bench area clean.
23. All catchers must wear a cup, regardless of gender.
24. No breaking balls (curves, sliders, etc) will be allowed. Umpires will call an illegal pitch and a ball.
25. No player is allowed to play on more than one team/age divsision (double-rostering). However, if short players you
may call from the age group below to bring your roster to 9.
